In 1960s, more than 1/6 of Fukui County population was working in eyewear industry. These people were so powerful that 1/20 global eyewear production was made in Fukui County. NOVA Classic Collection Hand Made Item is no exception. Since 1966, 100% of its eyewear is hand-made in Fukui County. Famous eyewear designers, such as 金治郎, Glanit, 丹羽雅彥, and 田中瑋彰, are part of the NOVA Optics, Inc. Few years later, one of the NOVA's Eyewear Designer, 丹羽雅彥, were handpicked by a Japanese Emperor to make an eyewear for him. After that, “NOVA Classic Collection Hand Made Item” has been recognized as the Japanese Emperor eyewear brand. With more than five decades of eyewear production experience, its hand-made eyewear has gone up to the industry’s superior level, creating numerous, hand-exquisite and delicate eyewear. In addition to those eyewear connoisseurs, many teenagers are attracted by its retro style and its high-quality hand-made eyewear production. Since 100% of its eyewear is hand-made in Fukui County, its eyewear supply is very limited. With 200 precision processes of titanium and celluloid mixture, “NOVA Classic Collection Hand Made Item” will produce 200 eyewear per month only.
